Japanese Engineering × Future STEM Leaders
Competing in the 2026/2027 STEM Racing Championship
We're tackling Japan's declining interest in science and engineering. While global students embrace STEM, only 53% of Japanese students maintain concentration in scientific subjects. TSUBAME RACING exists to ignite passion, prove capability, and inspire the next generation of Japanese engineers.
Hands-on engineering challenge combining CAD design, aerodynamics, manufacturing, and business development.
Win the world championship and prove Japanese high school students can compete at the highest technical level.
In Japan, the swallow (tsubame) has long symbolized good fortune, hope, and the future. Every year, swallows travel thousands of kilometers overseas and return home with remarkable precision. Their flight performance represents nature's highest level of navigation technology.
As five returnees with international perspectives, our journey from Japan to the world mirrors the swallow's characteristic cross-border flight.
Furthermore, swallows return each year stronger and wiser. Though we are first-year high school students and still inexperienced, we believe the swallow embodies our cherished cycle of reflection, improvement, and re-challenge.
Finally, swallows are considered guardians of children's growth—a powerful connection to our goal of inspiring greater youth interest in STEM.
Crossing borders, transcending conventions, surpassing limits—that is TSUBAME RACING, the spirit itself.
